FLAME - O -
GUARD - DC
A versatile Flame Retardant Solution for
the fire protection of curtains and other loose hung flammable
fabrics.
Technical Data
Chemical : None-water based
Flash point : 1 litre trigger packs. 5 litre plastic bottles.
Container Size :
25 litre drums ( do not store solution in the Metal
Containers)
Shelf Life :
At least 12 months where stored in frost - free conditions
How to apply Flame-O-Guard Flame Retardant
Solution
All fabrics must be clean and dry. Apply Flame
- O - Guard to a small piece of material to ensure dyes are
water-fast and do not water mark or shrink.
By Dipping
Pour Flame-O-Guard into a large plastic
container and dip the material to be stored in the liquid.
Leave the shock between 10-15 minutes. Lightly wiring by
hand or power mangle to remove surplus solution. Dipped
fabrics may be pressed with a cool iron after treatment. Do
not dip pile-textured fabrics. By Spray
Apply Flame-O-Guard using a conventional pressurized garden or
pneumatic type sprayer. For the best result apply with the spray
- head held 200 to 300 millimeters from the fabric to be
treated. Where a garden-type sprayer use a graduated container
to estimate the required application rate to be made Velvet,
velour and other fine textured fabrics should be sprayed from
the reverse side only, and other fabrics from both sides, with
sufficient number of spray passes to ensure thorough wetting. It
is important to allow 20-30 minutes between applications to
ensure thorough absorption. The spray equipment should be
thoroughly cleaned with water after use. How to
specify Flame-O-Guard flame retardant solutions.
Description: Flame - O - Guard A water based clear
Flame-O-Guard retardant solution suitable for application to a
wide range of manmade and natural fiber fabrics.
Dry Cleaning Fabrics treated with Flame-O-Guard
will stand upto 12 commercial dry cleaning cycles based on
percholoethylene. Washing / Excessive Dampness
The treatment is removed by water washing and its effectiveness
will be seriously impaired by excessive exposure to dampness.

FLAME - O - GUARD - C
In the event of fire, the water-borne Flame-O-Guard-C fire
protection coating for electrical cables form an insulating
layer which delays short-circuiting and prevents spread of
flame, thus maintaining the supply of electricity for a
prolonged period of time. With the application of
Flame-O-Guard-C the toxic gases given off during combustion of
plastic sheathing are also significantly reduced. The coating is
extremely easy to apply and remains permanently flexible. It
takes up no additional space and allows easy installation of
additional wiring.
